25 Kent is the first ground-up commercial office building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in more than five decades. Spanning a full-block and eight stories, the project is expected to become home to businesses in a wide range of fields including tech, creative arts, and design. The program also consists of retail and a parking lot.

We are currently providing Project Management services on the development of various Bloomberg facilities in the New York and New Jersey area. This includes the 200,000 sq. ft. restack of 919 Third Avenue and the phased renovation of the Skillman campus in Princeton, NJ. Additionally, we provided Strategic Advisory Services for the core and shell of 731 Lexington, the global headquarters of Bloomberg.

The BP America Production Company (BP) recently undertook a new headquarters project in Denver. The project, which is currently seeking LEED certification, included the design and construction of a sleek and sophisticated corporate headquarters space located at 1700 Platte Street. BP has relocated more than 200 employees from Houston, Texas to this new flagship facility, which includes 143,134 square feet of rentable space on floors 1, 3, 4, and 5.
The building features high-end finishes, including marble and Teknion demountable office systems. The facility also incorporates extensive audio/visual and security systems, including a 60-foot media wall, a 53-foot live edge unity table, and biometric readers for executive suites. The building’s core and shell were developed by Trammel Crow, designed by Tryba Architects, and built by Saunders Construction.
Cumming’s integrated services team, under the name of Project One, served as BP’s project manager and trusted advisor with overall responsibility for developing positive and mutually beneficial working relationships; providing ongoing management of design, construction, and other third-party team members; and informing and advising BP on key issues throughout the development process. Our team also provided ongoing review and analysis of cost estimates, procurement, contracts, schedules, value engineering, constructability, design documents, specifications, and permit submittals.

Cumming provided project management and owner representation services for the demolition of existing buildings and construction of a new campus to serve as the headquarters for Samsung Electronics’ U.S. Semiconductor Operations Division. The new campus is approximately 1.2 million square feet and includes two 10-story buildings comprised of office space, a research and development center, cafeteria, cleanroom, small data center, multi-purpose hall, outdoor meeting areas and a 1,500-stall parking structure. Demolition for the project was completed in May 2013 and the new headquarters officially opened in September 2015.
