Our team has advised the New York Public Library on a number of projects, including the 53rd Street Branch, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, and the Midtown Campus Renovation.
53rd Street Branch: This interior fit out of a new 28,000 SF flagship library branch was developed as an interactive learning center within a core and shell hotel/condo development.
Schomburg Center: The expansion of the historic Schomburg Center in Harlem included interior and exterior renovations of the three-building library facility and research center, which is now 75,000 SF. Design and construction was completed while maintaining library operations and keeping the branch open to the public.

Service(s): Cost Estimating Location: Chicago, IL Division: Cumming
Cumming provided cost estimating services for the three-phase, 200,000-sq.-ft. renovation of Wrigley Field, including new public and back-of-house areas, revenue-generating areas, and more. The highly complex work had to be completed in consideration of the historic structure, which was originally constructed in 1914. Our knowledge of the special materials and construction techniques required was key, and enabled us to assist with correctly budgeting and phasing the project. Our role also involved integrating with the highly sophisticated design team of Populous and Thornton Tomasetti. The project is currently in bid, with initial figures within 1% of the original budget.
