The River Campus is a unique research facility expected to be complete in 2019. When poised with three architectural options, two of which compromised existing campus space, our team worked with the owners and architects to bring to life the third option now known as the River Campus – built above the active FDR Drive. This innovative project is adding two acres and several buildings to RU by utilizing air rights to construct a new building.

Cumming performed cost management services on the Helios Energy Research Facility at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. The partially-funded British Petroleum (BP) facility includes a total of 150,000 square feet of energy bioscience, electrochemistry, solar technology, and alternate transportation fuel research space. Cumming provided milestone cost estimates from program through design completion for all building work, sitework, and equipment involved in the facility’s expansion.

Cumming is providing cost management services for the core and shell of BioMed Realty’s Gateway of Pacific buildings 1 – 3. Gateway of Pacific is a purpose built, multi-phased development that offers flexible solutions for growing and established life science companies. This fully-integrated +/- 2.0 million rentable square-foot campus is located on an active, urban-park setting. Cumming is also providing cost management services for the fit-out of Traverse, Gateway of Pacific’s +/- 47,000-square-foot amenity center that features two restaurants, a health club, bay and mountain views, and meeting and event space. Construction on Traverse is expected to be complete in Q4 2020. BioMed Realty has pre-leased to Amgen as a tenant at GOP 2. Cumming is providing cost management services on the Amgen tenant improvement fit-out. Construction on the Amgen TI will begin in Q1 2021.
