Eataly USA enlisted Lehrer Cumming to guide the design and construction of their market and dining concepts in New York City at 4 World Trade Center, and in Boston at the Prudential Center. Both projects include retail and dining elements, with construction occurring in an occupied building.

Cumming is providing project and cost management services on FatFace’s first stores in the United States ahead of its significant growth period into the U.S. market. FatFace is a U.K.-based lifestyle clothing brand seeking to further expand into the United States and Cumming is providing guidance on means and methods to ensure a successful and seamless transition. With its first stores opening in Portland, Maine, and Lynnfield, Massachusetts, Cumming is involved in all pre-construction and post-contract needs including but not limited to procurement of full design and construction teams, project controls, budgets, and contract procedures.

Farfetch, an online global community of fashion boutiques, engaged Cumming directly for the buildout of its offices in New York City. Cumming is providing full project and cost management, establishing the design team, and setting and controlling budgets to ensure the client moves into the space on time and within budget.
Bergdorf Goodman, Ground and Sixth Floor, New York, NY

Cumming performed cost management services for the sixth-floor refurbishment and is currently providing cost management services for the extensive ground-floor refurbishment. Both projects are phased in an operating store and include significant work to the exterior of the building. Services include estimating through each design stage, procurement management of general contractors, and direct vendors from bidding to award.

The Bloc — an approximately two million-sq.-ft., major mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles — is comprised of a Sheraton Hotel, Macy’s department store, retail shops and restaurants, an office tower, and extensive surrounding site development. Cumming was hired by the Ratkovich Company, the project’s main developer, to provide construction project management, project scheduling, and change order reviews.
Cumming has a national agreement with Neiman Marcus to provide cost management services on various projects, from carpet replacements to new-build stores throughout the country. Cumming will provide estimating support from initial schematic design through construction document drawings.
